Correct cleaning and care of bridles

The care of bridle, snaffle, breastplate and Co. is similar to the care of the saddle. Of course, the principle "less is more" also applies here in order not to overgrease the leather and to maintain the positive properties of the natural product. Especially with these thin leather parts, it is important that the leather does not become too soft and that the shape is maintained. With excessive care, the leather parts become puffy and soft, sometimes also lose their shape and in the worst case can become cracked.

Care routine:

1.) Ideally, disassemble the bridle to be able to clean especially thoroughly.
2.) For easy cleaning, we recommend saddle soap or the practical Leather Cleaner, which is liquid and can simply be sprayed on.
3.) In the second step, care should also be taken from time to time depending on the stress on the leather. For this purpose, the Leather Conditioner ensures a well-groomed and supple leather, which nevertheless retains its shape. Of course, you can also reach for an oil, such as the beeswax leather oil or grease, but this should only be done 2-6x a year and the products should only be applied thinly.

Tip's for the care of bridle & Co.:

- If there is enough time, it is recommended to reassemble the bridle only the next day to let the care soak in
- The Brillant leather care cloth is suitable for use in between and on the way!
- if the bridle has become wet, it should be cared for.
- do not soak snaffles and other leather equipment in water, oil or care products
- "less is more"
- do not grease leather reins, clean only with saddle soap
