Insect protection - how do our products work?

When training, competing and grazing, protection from biting, annoying insects such as mosquitoes, flies, horseflies, ticks and other pests is especially important. The insects mostly cause painful, itchy bites, allergies, inflammations or even transmit diseases. Often insect bites cause skin and hair loss due to triggered rubbing. Insect control also requires attention to barn and pasture hygiene. In a clean, regularly mucked stall, insect infestation is lower than in a stall that is rarely mucked. Also, in addition to insect control measures, regular worming (season specific) should be performed. Symptoms of worm infestation are: Colic, diarrhea, bronchitis, emaciation, lackluster coat or decreased vitality.

To get through the insect season worry-free without stress and bites, we have the following products in our assortment:

Our fly repellent products with the repellent active ingredient Icaridin all contain 20.6% active ingredient content - this is the highest possible dosage. All products are effective against flies, horseflies, biting and black flies and ticks and have a long-term effect of up to 8 hours, even with perspiration:

BrummerControl with 20,6% Icaridin - especially strong due to the addition of a natural active ingredient complex, with a strong scent of birch, juniper and lemon, which provides additional protection against the pests.

100% natural alternative:

For all those who like to use a 100% natural product, we have the particularly effective HorseDeo - through the nourishing oils of walnut & orange it is gentle to the skin and can also be used without hesitation in eczema sufferers. Due to the very strong smell of juniper, the horse's own odor is masked, so that the insects can no longer smell the horse. Due to the professional spray head, the product is distributed very effectively over the entire horse and is very economical in use.

Tip: What to do in case of eczema or chafing caused by insect bites?

To care for chafing and wounds caused by insect bites, the products Anti-Itch, SkinDoc and SkinFine are suitable (super gentle cleaning of the affected areas with simultaneous care effect!) - after application, it is best to apply a small squirt of HorseDeo over it again, so that the areas can heal in peace and have as long as possible protection from the blackflies.

- Always remove all sweat from horses after training.
